The LA Phil Affiliates are members of the greater Los Angeles community who dedicate their time and efforts to support the mission of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra through volunteer service, music education, community engagement, and fundraising.
Foothill Philharmonic Committee was founded in 1958 by members of the Claremont Colleges community. Today the committee consists of residents from Claremont and the surrounding foothill communities and is one of twelve LA Phil Affiliate committees. In addition to raising funds for the LA Phil, the Committee purchases tickets and subsidizes buses for elementary students to attend Symphonies for Youth concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall, presents annual fundraising events, offers community outreach programs of distinguished speakers, and facilitates the purchase of LA Phil season subscriptions and charter bus tickets for the Friday Middays concert series.
